Item Description

The book that started the phenomenon is now available in a deluxe collector's edition! Featuring a ribbon bookmark, cloth cover, ragged edges, new chapter opener designs, and a beautiful protective slipcase, this edition is perfect for fans and collectors alike.

Bella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear.

Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

5 stars Loved it! 2009-05-01

Reviewer: Julie Purrington

I had my reservations about reading this book, but out of curiousity I read it to find out what all the hype was about. The book was great. I found I had a hard time putting it down and as soon as I finished reading it I was on too the next one. I had all 4 books read in 3 weeks. I was addicted! Now I'm searching for a new series to captivate me way the "Twilight" series did.

4 stars Simple yet entertaining 2009-05-01

I agree that this is a very simple read. Not the best literary book on the market, but one does have to admit it's a great story line. If you're looking for something that takes your mind away for a few hours like a romantic drama movie might, this is for you. If you are looking for a classic romance book like a Jane Austen novel, move on.

I'm surprised by people giving it such bad reviews, it is meant for young adults. Please keep that in mind as you read the simple text and repetitive adjectives.

I'm a 30 year old mother who really enjoyed it. To me, it's a lot deeper than the current toddler aged books I have been reading! LOL

5 stars great book candy 2009-05-01

I found myself devouring all four novels of the series in one weekend. Meyer writes clearly and seamlessly, guiding the reader through this unusual and attractive world. I found the whole series to be solidly written and each novel adds its own interesting piece to the story. They surpassed my expectations and kept me enthralled throughout reading them. I would recommend for others to read the whole series in its entirety to experience the full impact of this fun new world Meyer created.

I have read this book 3 times. I love it. It's a great escape from the real world.

5 stars Adults - Take a Chance on Reading "Twilight" 2009-05-01

Reviewer: Marvin H. Mcintyre

I have spent decades reading fiction, and almost never ventured into the realm of what I thought were "kid books". While sitting on the beach last summer I began reading my granddaughter's copy of Twilight when I accidently left my "grown-up" book back at the house. I was delighted to discover that the story of Bella and Edward was moving, enthralling, and immersing. The hours flew past as I was transported into a different world. Highly recommended as a book, but I did find the movie disappointing.
